We got up at 5:00am this morning but we ended up leaving at 6:30am. There's a lot to do before leaving specially with our little Maddie. Well anyway, the trip went well and Maddie did a very good job. We got home at around 11:15pm.

Hello friends. I am currently involved in a business project writing Business Articles so I seldom blog lately. It’s something very new to me so I devote a great deal of my time in building my vocabulary in business so that I'l is able to write my Business Articles well. I have less background in business. The only courses I took back in college which are related to business are economics and basic accounting. I'd probably need to brush up on a few of my books' pages about the terminologies used in those subjects.

I am beginning to really appreciate just how important to have a business of your own no matter how small it seems to be. It adds up to your income and helps you finance some of your caprice and save for your future. Some people don't know what business to put up and how to start. I guess what one needs to check is the kind of skill you have that others don't have, and then start from there.

That being said, I do not even see the reason to create machines that would be imitating free will, so that is something that we as a society should think about. We should focus our efforts on creating AI that will be able to help us with many tasks that usually require humans.

Friday afternoon grocery shopping just outside the main gate of the air force base: I stopped to look at a product. An very tall, very wide airman dressed in fatigues said, “Excuse me.” I took a step to the left. He grabbed something from the shelf, dropped it in the cart and pushed it away. Only problem is, it was my cart — and my purse was in it.

“Hey! That’s my cart!” I said, hustling after the fellow. He turned into the dairy isle. I was forced to give way for an elderly shopper who took far too long walking around the gigantic airman and the shopping cart. The airman added milk to the cart and moved to the eggs. I caught up to him. “Wait!” I said.

He added eggs to my cart as I grabbed the side of the basket. He looked at me in stern disapproval and then glanced down at my hand — which was lifting my purse from the cart. I smiled and quipped, “It really doesn’t match your outfit.” The airman responded, “Ulp.”

Still smiling I looked way up, up, up at him and said, “I was afraid for a minute I was going to have to tackle your ankle.” His face flushed bright red. He turned on the heel of his spit-shined boot and stalked away.

Poor man. If he’s going to wander around in public while his brain is absent without leave, he really should grow a sense of humor.

So it was just so windy this weekend that I just could not resist taking my oldest outside to fly a kite! It was very cold but we just bundled up. Besides, many people kill animals for pleasure or to get hides and horns for selling them in the market. They kill birds for food. As a consequence of these actions the environment is ruined. It's hard to believe, but there are actually people in this world who do not care for tea! Not hot tea, and not iced tea. They just do not like tea, period! When you ask someone who is of the non-tea persuasion why this is so, they usually answer you with a statement such as "Tea has such a bland taste! It's not like coffee... coffee has a rich, bold taste. Tea is so... wimpy. It's for little old ladies!" Obviously, someone like this is no tea connoisseur, nor can they appreciate the many different varieties of tea that are available in a cornucopia of tantalizingly delicious flavors. And, someone like this has no idea about how exciting it is to experiment with tea to discover, among other things, which varieties are excellent iced in a tall glass as well as hot in a delicate bone china cup.

Add to the tea varieties the array of flavored teas, and you could just about sample a different variety every day of the year. I am an iced tea devotee. I have practically made a hobby out of testing just as many different teas as I can get my hands on. Testing them as iced tea, not hot tea. I can't say that any of them have been too bad - even the varieties which are not usually served as iced tea. As it is getting close to summer, I can thoughtfully reflect that this is the best time of year to enjoy iced tea. And, fruit-based teas just seem to go along with summertime nicely.

So, I have been sampling and testing as many different fruity teas as I have been able to either find locally, or order online. And, I've found one that is most definitely going to go on my top 10 All-Time Favorites list. It's Honey Pear tea. It's an amazingly delicious choice that can't help but stand out among its many rivals in the tea time tests.

I tried the Honey Pear black tea, and was blown away. It was superb! An extremely high quality black tea that would have been stunning all by itself, mixed with the flavor of lovely ripe pear and golden honey. The taste was as sweet as you would expect with two sweet ingredients such as honey and pear, but surprisingly bold... definitely not a "wimpy" tea! Life isn’t the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere – “How did their life become so adorably sweet? How come they still can manage to laugh and play around despite a busy stressful life?” Then I pause and observed for awhile… I figured out that maybe, they start to work on a place called ‘self’.

So, how does one become genuinely happy? Step 1 is to love yourself.

My theology professor once said that “loving means accepting.” To love oneself means to accept that you are not a perfect being, but behind the imperfections must lie a great ounce of courage to be able to discover ways on how to improve your repertoire to recover from our mistakes.

Genuine happiness also pertains to contentment. When you are contented with the job you have, the way you look, with your family, your friends, the place you live in, your car, and all the things you now have – truly, you know the answer to the question “how to be genuinely happy.”

When we discover a small start somewhere from within, that small start will eventually lead to something else, and to something else. But if you keep questioning life lit it has never done you any good, you will never be able to find genuine happiness.

I believe that life is about finding out about right and wrong, trying and failing, wining and losing. These are things that happen as often as you inhale and exhale. Failure, in a person’s life has become as abundant and necessary as air. But this should not hinder us from becoming happy.

How to be genuinely happy in spite all these? I tell you… every time you exert effort to improve the quality of life and your being, whether it is cleaning up your room, helping a friend, taking care of your sick dog, fail on board exams and trying again, life gives you equivalent points for that.

Imagine life as a big score board like those which are used in the NFLs. Every time you take a step forward, you make scoring points. Wouldn’t it be nice to look at that board at the end of each game and think to yourself “Whew! I got a point today. I’m glad I gave it a shot.”, instead of looking at it all blank and murmur “Geez, I didn’t even hit a score today. I wish I had the guts to try out. We could have won!” and then walk away.

Genuine happiness isn’t about driving the hottest Formula 1 car, nor getting the employee of the year award, earning the highest 13th month pay, or beating the sales quota. Sometimes, the most sought after prizes in life doesn’t always go to the fastest, the strongest, the bravest or not even the best. So, how do you become genuinely happy? Every one has his own definition of ‘happiness’. Happiness for a writer may mean launching as much best selling books as possible. Happiness for a basketball rookie may mean getting the rookie of the year award. Happiness for a beggar may mean a lot of money. Happiness for a business man may mean success. So, really now, how do we become genuinely happy? Simple. You don’t have to have the best things in this world. Its about doing and making the best out of every single thing. • Higher productivity. Your expertise will make your work more valuable, since you know what you are doing. This will result in more work done in less time.
• Having more satisfaction. You will have more satisfaction doing what you like.

When it comes to earning money online, it is similar to other forms of business. You need at least some money to get it started. It does not have to be a lot of cash; however, it is important that you should not invest money you cannot afford to lose.

What I mean is, for example, if you spend some money that was supposed to go to your retirement fund, then it might be a bad decision. On the other hand, any extra money you have lying around that you will decide to spend on your online ventures would be a sound investment. Investing in your online business is often risky, but with risk also come awards. Why waste your money on some non-essential items, if you can invest your money in your online business? I encourage each one of you to explore the possibilities that the Internet offers us.

However, I advise you to do it only if you have some spare money which you will not be afraid to lose. You might not find something that will work for you the first time if you just try one method, but if you are persistent enough, I am sure that you will be able to earn money. Do you want to remove dates from your posts? There are advantages and disadvantages of such decision. I have seen a few bloggers doing this, and this made me wonder what effects will such decision have on their blog.

Advantages include:
1. Your articles will not seem outdated.
2. Your article is more likely to be linked by others, as people in general like to link to something new, and your article might look like it is quite new, even though it is not.
3. You might get more comments as your articles will seem to be less outdated.

Here are some potential disadvantages:
1. Most readers might actually prefer to know when an article was released. Why make it a secret?
2. Not including dates does not change the order of articles. Those posted earlier might still seem to be outdated, even though there will be no date on them.
3. The whole idea is innovative, and might not be accepted well in the blogosphere. After all, hiding the article date is quite deceitful, and such a decision is usually not made to benefit visitors themselves.

I think that the biggest disadvantage is that not displaying dates along with posts will make many posts no longer useful. This is especially true in case of news posts, or those posts that were describing a situation that is likely to change. This includes the topics of politics, technology, and the Internet among others.

Looking for a parking space is never easy in large cities. Ultimately, the outcome is that people waste valuable time looking for a place to park. Fortunately, technology may help us in this challenge as magnetometers are able to detect whether a car is parked near it. Those magnetometers would be connected to a network, which would mean that drivers would be able to find parking space by accessing their phone, as they would have a sort of map that would let them know which parking spaces are not taken. The idea is great and it is going to be implemented in some cities in United States. However, I do not think that this will reduce traffic congestion, as it will make driving a car even more desirable.

In this post I want to discuss practicing writing skills. I am not talking about just any writing techniques, but about the ability to sell your content. Let us imagine that you are listening to an audio advertisement. In this audio advertisement the announcer usually only has a short time to present the message that is supposed to attract customers to the product he is referring to. When it comes to our blogs we do not have any time limit to put our message across, as we can write as much as we want. However, it is generally better to keep our posts concise so that our readers will benefit the most without spending too much time reading a very long message.

I suggest practicing writing short posts that are supposed to present some value to the reader. You may later read them yourself in order to examine if the message is really as valuable as you hoped it to be. A successful blogger needs to write in a way that is interesting to his readers, so that is why practice is essential. Another important aspect is the ability to understand your reader base. What are the interests on your visitors? What makes them excited? Those are the questions you should know the answers to.

Multitasking

In today’s world we are being encouraged to multitask. When you drive a car, you might be required to talk to your children or on the phone, eat while watching the news etc. While multitasking can be tiring, it can actually be a lot of fun. It allows you to do at least two things at the time, and thus use your time more effectively. There are many activities which can be combined together like, for example, eating and watching TV.

Why would you just look at your food, if you can watch news at the same time? Additionally, many doctors argue that talking with full mouth is not healthy, and thus it is not the best idea to talk with family members while eating a meal. Many children and teenagers do their homework and watch TV simultaneously. This might be more difficult, so I would not recommend it in most situations.

However, if someone can focus on doing his homework while listening to music or watching TV, then there is nothing wrong about that. I know that many people dislike multitasking, but in many situations it is beneficial. In my opinion, you do not have to worry about multitasking as long as you use your time more effectively this way. Some people can concentrate on a lot of different things at the same time. However, if multitasking is making you tired, then you should consider doing just one thing at a time.

Some people might say that buying computers is an investment; however, it depends in what situation you are. If you are using a computer for work, then indeed it is an investment. On the other hand, buying a computer that has all of the newest components is not an investment at all. That is because computer components are getting less expensive each year, and there are almost no other products whose price drops so much. That is why I suggest you buy a computer with a processor, graphic card, and other components that you are really going to fully utilize, instead of being tricked by commercials into buying something very expensive that will get outdated soon anyway.

OpenID and Blogs

Last year Google changed its policy concerning the way bloggers can comment on blogs hosted by Blogspot. To leave a comment, a person who does not have a Google account will be able to use an OpenID login for that purpose. This will be the same login used for popular services like WordPress.com, LiveJournal, and AOL Journals. What does it mean for bloggers who have their blogs hosted on Blogspot? The benefits include the reduction of the amount of spammers that flooded our blogs. It also saved us precious time that otherwise we would have to spend deleting worthless comments. I think that unfortunately these changes also reduced the number of comments in general. However, in the end it was probably worth it.
